INNOVIA APM 300 – Munich, Germany

Bombardier Transportation delivered an INNOVIA APM 300 automated people mover system to Munich Airport. Chosen for its flexible operation modes and high reliability, the APM system connects the new satellite facility with Terminal 2 via an underground tunnel. Munich Airport is regularly voted Europe’s best airport, handling more than 38 million passengers and 400,000 flights every year. The new satellite facility increases the passenger capacity of Terminal 2 and the number of gate positions for aircraft.

Project summary:

  • The fleet of 12 driverless INNOVIA APM 300 vehicles are equipped with CITYFLO 650 automatic train control technology
  • As a turnkey supplier, Bombardier’s scope included the design, build, supply, operation and maintenance of the system
  • Bombardier is providing nine years of operations and maintenance services
