FLEXITY Swift – Stockholm, Sweden

Since 1997 the Stockholm transport authority (Stockholms Lokaltrafik AB) ordered a total of 31 BOMBARDIER FLEXITY Swift light rail vehicles. The vehicles are based on the successful concept of the Cologne LRV's and excel in low-floor technology.

The passengers benefit from level entrance, comfortable seating as well as from special communication features. The design includes proven standardised components, however, a modern exterior design according to the client's wishes could be realised due to the modular manufacturing concept. Since 1999 the first vehicles are operating successfully in the southern outskirts of Stockholm. As a result of the continued expansion of the light rail network the operation of the FLEXITY Swift vehicles is increasing steadily.
