FLEXITY Outlook – Marseille, France

The Communauté Urbaine Marseille Provence Métropole (CUMPM) selected Bombardier to develop and manufacture 26 bi-directional FLEXITY Outlook trams in 2004. The new trams for Marseille are based on a proven technology featuring 100% low-floor interior combined with conventional wheel-set bogies which offer excellent riding behaviour and thus increased passenger comfort. The vehicle also includes the proven BOMBARDIER MITRAC propulsion and control system. In addition, 6 longer vehicles were ordered in December 2011 and will be delivered in 2013.

The innovative and exclusive industrial tram design, created by MBD Design for CUMPM, makes the vehicles fit effortlessly with the maritime background of the city. Wide windows offer a panoramic view and create a feeling of transparency. The natural wooden seats and blue interior colour scheme accentuate the Mediterranean influence even more.
