François Ouellette is Vice President, Contracts and Legal Services, Bombardier Aviation. Reporting directly to the President and CEO of Bombardier, François is responsible for overseeing all legal services and contracts related to the world’s leading business aircraft manufacturer.
François has extensive experience in corporate and contractual law. He began his career in 1992 as a commercial litigator at Mackenzie Gervais (now known as Borden Ladner Gervais), one Canada’s leading law firms. He joined Bombardier as Legal Counsel at Bombardier Aerospace in 1997 and was appointed Senior Legal Counsel, Bombardier Aerospace in 1999. Within two months, he was promoted to Director, Legal Services, Bombardier Aerospace.
In 2004, François was appointed Vice President, Legal Services, Bombardier Aerospace. Since 2014, he held the role of Vice President, Legal Services, Contracts, Fleet Account Management and Pre-owned Aircraft for Bombardier Business Aircraft.
In 2007, LEXPERT, the business magazine for lawyers, ranked him as one of the top 40 lawyers in Canada under 40. He has also taught commercial law at the University of Montréal Business School (HEC Montréal).
A graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in Civil Law and Common Law (with Honours), François also holds a degree in Sciences from the University of Moncton. He has been a member of the Québec Bar since 1992.
