Nancy Barber was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Bombardier Business Aircraft in 2019 and is responsible for all Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft programs currently in production at Bombardier’s facilities in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Ontario and Wichita, Kansas, as well as the business unit’s Procurement function.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Barber held the role of Vice President, Program Management – Global 7500 and Global 8000, and New Aircraft Studies, where she led proactive management of program milestones and cost commitments supporting the ramp-up of the Global 7500 aircraft and its successful entry into service in 2018.
Ms. Barber joined the company in 1998. She held several key positions with increasing responsibility, including Production, Quality, Customer Delivery Centre, In-Service Supplier Management and Supply Chain. Prior to her promotions to Vice President of Program Management and subsequently Chief Operating Officer, she most notably led the Procurement teams responsible for new aircraft programs, including the C Series and derivative programs for Business Aircraft.
She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo, and is published in the Journal of Sport Management.
