Pierre Beaudoin is Chairman of the Board of Bombardier Inc.
Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Beaudoin served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Bombardier Inc. from 2015 to 2017. From 2008 to 2015, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, where he oversaw global operations and strategy, as well as the development of its four business segments. He also led the program launch of Bombardier’s largest commercial aircraft, the C Series mainliners.
In October of 2001, Mr. Beaudoin moved from the position of President of Business Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace to President and COO of Bombardier Aerospace where he served until 2008. In this role, he took over responsibility for all operations and product divisions of the Corporation’s aerospace business. During his tenure, he built a world-class culture by emphasizing customer focus, employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Mr. Beaudoin first joined Bombardier in 1985 in the Marine Products Division. He quickly moved up in responsibility and position, from Vice President of Product Development for Bombardier’s Sea-Doo/Ski-Doo Division in 1990, Executive Vice President of the same division in 1992 and President in 1994. In April 1996, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of Bombardier’s Recreational Products Group with operational responsibility for six product lines: marine products (Sea-Doo watercraft and sport boats), snowmobiles (the Ski-Doo product line), Bombardier ATVs, the Bombardier NV, utility vehicles and the Bombardier-Rotax engine facility located in Austria.
Mr. Beaudoin began his career as Canadian Customer Service Manager for BIC Sport Inc. after studying industrial relations at McGill University in Montréal.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Power Corporation of Canada.
