CITYFLO 550 - Houston, USA

The City of Houston Department of Aviation awarded Bombardier Transportation the contract to supply a CITYFLO 550 solution for the George Bush International Airport expansion.

The APM comprises 12 CX-100 vehicles, 3 centreline stations, and more than 5,000 feet of single lane guideway. The system operates 4 2-car trains in a pinched loop fashion, with an additional 1 train in hot-standby and 1 spare train. The robustness of the system is such that the entire system is run from a single redundant CITYFLO 550 controller.
