Bombardier Transportation was the supplier of the INNOVIA APM 200 automated people mover system that formed part of original Terminal 5 (T5) construction project. The first phase of the system opened along with the T5 complex in 2008 and included two stations and two 3-car trains. The second phase opened in 2011 and included an extension to a third station and three additional vehicles. The APM system was incorporated in the design of the T5 complex to ensure the convenient and efficient mobility of passengers.
