The Olympic Line – Vancouver’s 2010 Streetcar introduced FLEXITY, the first 100% low-floor streetcar, in North America. Two FLEXITY streetcars, provided and operated by Bombardier, carried over 550,000 Vancouver residents, visitors and athletes on the 1.8-km Olympic Line during 60 days of free passenger service for the 2010 Winter Games. While operating 7 days a week and 18 hours a day, the streetcars travelled a total of 24,760 kilometres with zero equipment failures, zero station delays and zero injuries.
