FLEXITY Outlook - Graz, Austria
The Graz transport authority (GVB) commissioned Bombardier Transportation with the design and production of 18 100% low-floor trams of the BOMBARDIER FLEXITY Outlook family. The vehicles are ideally designed for operation in the historical city of Graz, with a width of 2.2 metres and a minimum curve radius of only 17 m. The trams for Graz fulfill the GVB's special requirements which include a buffer load of 40 t and a double-sliding door located near the driver. At the entrances the floor height from street level is only 290 mm, allowing for convenient boarding. Additionally, a lift at the front door facilitates wheelchair access. A modern passenger information system gives travellers updates on stops and connections.
