INNOVIA Automated People Mover System - Guangzhou, China
In May 2007, Bombardier Transportation received a contract from Guangzhou Metro Corporation to supply Guangzhou City with the INNOVIA APM 100 automated people mover system. The 4-km (2.4-mi.) system serves the Zhujiang Xincheng Central District of Guangzhou City.
Featuring the CITYFLO 650 automatic train control technology, the system's 14 INNOVIA APM 100 vehicles carries 4,500 passengers per hour per direction in the dual-lane underground network. Four of the system's nine stations provide connections to Lines 1, 3 and 5 of the Guangzhou City metro network.
The INNOVIA APM 100 system connects the prestigious central business district with the flourishing Tianhe business and trade area. Providing quick connections to first-class business, cultural and leisure facilities, the system opened in 2010.
