BOMBARDIER INNOVIA ART - Yongin, South Korea
Bombardier Transportation, as part of the Yongin LRT Consortium, delivered a driverless INNOVIA ART 200 advanced rapid transit system to the City of Yongin in 2010. Known as EverLine, the system was designed to link Seoul's subway system, via Yongin City, with Everland, one of the world's largest amusement parks. The 18.5-km (11.5-mi.) alignment connects 15 stations and was designed to carry about 13 million tourists annually.
The fleet of 30 INNOVIA ART 200 vehicles is fitted with Bombardier’s linear induction motor propulsion and CITYFLO 650 automated train control (ATC) technology, both well proven on transit systems around the world. CITYFLO 650 ATC, the world's first radio-based train control solution, offers exceptional operational flexibility and system performance.
The City of Yongin awarded the 35-year concession contract to include five years of design/build and up to 30 years of operations and maintenance (O&M) services in 2004.
