MOVIA Metro Cars for Line 1 (Supplementary Vehicles) - Shanghai, China
In 2004, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co. ordered 96 additional MOVIA metros with the Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicles Co. Ltd (CBRC), a Joint Venture of Bombardier and then Changchun Car Company (CCC) for Shanghai’s Line 1. The MOVIA vehicles’ modular aluminum carbody, with state-of-the-art MITRAC propulsion ensures smooth running, longer lifetime and low life-cycle-cost.
The engineering of the cars, propulsion system, bogies and project management are the responsibility of Bombardier Transportation.
