Driverless Metro for Efficient Transit Systems

The INNOVIA Metro 300 vehicle is a driverless, medium-capacity metro solution designed for cost-effective and efficient public transit. These lightweight, aluminum vehicles fill the gap between low-capacity trams and high-capacity metros. INNOVIA Metro 300 vehicles offer a choice of carbody size (standard width and wide body) and two options for vehicle propulsion (conventional rotary and linear induction motor). With train configurations from 1- to 6-car trains, they offer a range of capacity up to 53,000 passengers per hour per direction and operate at speeds up to 100 km/h.

INNOVIA Metro 300 vehicles feature:

• an inter-car walk-through for enhanced safety and passenger flow
• flexible seating arrangements to permit high capacities
• low floors for easy access for passengers with wheelchairs or strollers
• three bi-parting doors per side of each car
• advanced security features (i.e. two-way radio contact and CCTV)
• regenerative braking that allows for up to 95% energy recycling
• highly recyclable materials that ensure little-to-no waste at end of life
