High Grade Coach - China
Bombardier Transportation, through BSP (joint venture), was awarded a contract of 300 high-grade intercity passenger vehicles. This enabled the joint-venture to establish a manufacturing facility in Qingdao, some 650 kilometres from Beijing.The high-grade cars with high reliability, safety and comfort are more luxurious than the existing Chinese cars. The cars delivered from 2002 are designed for a speed of 160 km/h and were equipped with air-conditioning, each two vacuum toilets and with 1st and 2nd Class equipment and as sleeping cars.
