French National Railways (SNFC) has ordered 372 Bombardier Spacium 3.O6 commuter trains for the Greater Paris/Ile-de-France suburban network. The Spacium 3.O6 commuter train is a swift, flexible vehicle designed to provide maximum seating capacity, superior passenger comfort, improved access and an attractive interior design.

In fact, comfortable, frequent connections by regional trains are an essential factor in the placement of new housing developments in out-of-city areas as well as major enabler for increased regional tourism.

French National Railways (SNCF) has ordered almost 700 trains for 21 French regions. The AGC's (Autorail Grande Capacité) appeal is based on a very attractive design specifically developed for the customer, and a maximum speed from 140 to 160 km/h.

The Hybrid AGC is the latest variant of the AGC range and the world's first hybrid train, combining dual-mode (electrical and diesel) and dual-voltage (1500 and 25000 V) technology. In October 2007, the train entered in commercial service for the French National Railways (SNCF). Ten French regions ordered 144 hybrid trains.

In February 2007, Bombardier Transportation signed a framework agreement with Deutsche Bahn AG (German Railways) for a new train concept for regional and commuter service, TALENT 2. The agreement includes the delivery of 321 trains with an order volume of approximately EUR 1.2 bln. First deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2008.
