  • Bombardier’s OPTIFLO rail control service suite takes the spotlight during one of Asia’s most influential railway gatherings

The Bombardier Transportation team will present its urban solutions for rapidly growing Asian cities at this year’s Asia Pacific Rail conference and exhibition in Hong Kong on March 21 – 22. One of the highlights for rail operators in the region and visitors to the exhibition will be Bombardier’s new, modular range of BOMBARDIER OPTIFLO rail control service solutions which introduces new advances in powerful, data-driven, predictive maintenance and cyber security.

Jayaram Naidu, Head of Sales and Marketing for Bombardier, Rail Control Solutions Asia Pacific and South East Asia, said, “We are experiencing a huge transformation with new innovations, digitalisation and increased need for connectivity in mega cities of Asia Pacific. Our solutions address the growing demand for reliable integrated mobility that better connects people to transport hubs, commercial districts and city centres. Our expert teams across the region are ready to support operators in this age of technology, while improving operations, reducing costs, and safeguarding their investments in rail control systems.”

Bombardier’s innovative technologies have been contributing to the mobility needs and economic development in the Asia Pacific region for decades. As a leader in the area of fully automated driverless transit systems, every day Bombardier automated people mover (APM) systems move thousands of passengers reliably, quickly, and safely to their destination in cities like Guangzhou and Kuala Lumpur.

In China, the first BOMBARDIER INNOVIA Automated People Mover 300 vehicle operating with the CITYFLO 650 CBTC has already been delivered and will enter service on Shanghai Metro’s Line 8 Phase 3 project later this year. In all, Bombardier’s joint ventures have delivered over 1,400 BOMBARDIER MOVIA metro cars, all equipped with the BOMBARDIER MITRAC propulsion and auxiliary systems, to the Chinese market.
