Bombardier Commercial Aircraft offers a complete range of aircrew and maintenance personnel training services. Our CRJ and Q-Series aircraft operate with Common Crew Ratings. This allows you to cost-effectively enhance your operational flexibility and increase your pool of trained flight crew.
CRJ Aircraft Training
CRJ aircraft training takes place at our Montréal Training Centre and CityLine Simulator and Training (CST) Berlin, a joint venture of Bombardier Aerospace, Lufthansa CityLine and CAE.
These state-of-the-art training facilities include a full range of CRJ and Q-Series simulators, training devices and online learning.
Our Flight Crew Training program helps operators attain the systems knowledge and operational skills needed to meet and exceed all applicable regulatory requirements. Our Maintenance Crew Training program includes courses that comply with Airline Transport Association (ATA) 104 Training Level III.

Q-Series Aircraft Training
FlightSafety International is Bombardier’s exclusive Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft training provider. Pilot and maintenance training for Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft is offered at 6 locations around the world. FlightSafety is also the authorized training provider for Pratt and Whitney Canada engines.
Pilot Training for Dash 8/Q-Series 100/200/300 Aircraft
Pilot training for Dash 8 100/200/300 aircraft is offered in Toronto, Ontario; Atlanta, Georgia and Seattle, Washington. Dry simulator leasing is offered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Pilot Training for Dash 8 400/Q400 Aircraft
Pilot training for the Dash 8 400/Q400 aircraft is offered in Toronto, Ontario; Seattle, Washington and Farnborough, England. Dry simulator leasing is available in St. Louis, Missouri and Tokyo, Japan. Each Learning Center offering instructor-led training has state-of-the-art Q400 aircraft graphic flight simulators to augment the simulator learning experience.
Maintenance Training for Dash 8/Q-Series Aircraft
FlightSafety’s maintenance courses meet Airline Transportation Association (ATA) 104 Level III, EASA and CASA standards. Maintenance courses are offered at the Toronto Learning Center or at your location and all use animated computer projections that bring aircraft systems to life. Most maintenance courses include some element of practical training which is offered either on a graphical flight simulator or a FFS and a PW120 or PW150 engine.
PW100 Small (Dash 8/Q-Series 100) and Large (Dash 8/Q-Series 200/300) Series Line & Base Maintenance engine training is offered at the Montreal, Dallas; Texas and Paris, France Learning Centers. PW150 Small Series Line & Base Maintenance training is offered at the Toronto, Ontario Learning Center.
