Michel Bourgeois


President
Bombardier Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft

Michel Bourgeois was appointed president, Bombardier Amphibious Aircraft, in August 2002 and assumed the responsibility for specialized aircraft in 2008.

With a distinguished career in the aerospace industry, Mr. Bourgeois joined Canadair Inc. in 1982 and was Senior Legal Counsel with responsibilities that included negotiation support, labour relations and aircraft financing when Bombardier Inc. acquired the company in 1986.

In 1990, Mr. Bourgeois was appointed Director of Contracts for Bombardier’s Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ). Five years later, he was appointed Vice-President of Contracts for the Regional Aircraft unit. In June 2000, he was appointed Vice-President and General Manager for Bombardier Capital’s Assets Services business unit based in Colchester, Vermont.

Michel Bourgeois is a Member of the Bar in the Province of Québec. He obtained his law license from the Université de Montréal and holds a Master’s degree from the Air and Space Law Institute of McGill University in Montréal. He began his legal career as a partner in private practice specializing in maritime law.
