Laurent Troger was appointed as President of Bombardier Transportation in December 2015.

Mr. Troger joined Bombardier Transportation in November 2004 as Vice President of Services in Europe. In 2008, he was promoted to the position of President of Services where he oversaw a major turnaround. In 2013, his role was expanded to include the rolling stock businesses in the United Kingdom, France and Benelux, and he later became President of the Division Western Europe, Middle East and Africa. Then, in 2015, he was successively appointed Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Bombardier Transportation, assuming responsibility for operational performance as well as integration between the divisions and core functions.

Prior to joining Bombardier, Mr. Troger worked for 15 years at Alstom Transport where he held several leading positions. This included Senior Vice President for Transportation Systems where he managed turnkey projects integrating rolling stock and infrastructure into advanced and high performance transportation systems. In addition, he was also Vice President for Transportation Information Systems, managing high tech projects that brought increasing safety and capacity to transit and railway operations. He also served various functions in the embedded train control systems business unit. Prior to this, he spent two years working for Sagem as Telecoms Engineer.

He holds a degree in engineering from École nationale supérieure de techniques avancées (ENSTA).
